TONSILLITIS – WEEKLY DIET PLAN

Tonsillitis is a very common condition, especially among children. It is the inflammation of tonsils. Tonsils are the two oval shaped structures present on both sides of throat. These are lymphoid tissues which prevent entry of micro-organisms through throat. They act as filter and trap germs. They also make antibodies to fight infections. But sometimes, they get infected. This leads to their infection causing tonsillitis. The common signs and symptoms include swelling in tonsils, sore throat, tenderness in lymph nodes present on side of the neck and difficulty in swallowing. The infection is mostly viral but bacterial infections may also occur.

Here we mention some of the useful diets for tonsillitis which leads to decrease in the frequency and severity of symptoms by balancing the doshas and thus get rid of them by some dietary modifications:

HOW TO CURE NASAL POLYP THROUGH AYURVEDA

Nasal polyps are painless and benign (not cancerous) growths. They’re found in nasal passages and sinuses, hollow spaces within the bones around your nose. They form from mucous membranes — thin, soft tissue that lines these body parts.
IN AYURVEDA defines nasal polyps to be closely associated with Nasa arsha. It adds, it’s a condition that arises thanks to increased Kapha Dosha. Vitiated Kapha Dosha promotes the expansion of polyps within the wall of blood vessels yet as within the surrounding muscular tissues to convey rise to swelling.

AYURVEDIC TREATMENT OF NASAL POLYPS:

Turmeric milk: Turmeric powder contains curcumin that’s known to exert potent anti-inflammatory properties. To use turmeric, try mixing a spoonful of turmeric powder in half a cup of lukewarm milk. Apply this mixture twice daily and see the scale of nasal polyps reduce in size.

Ayurvedic Treatment for Hepatitis : Hepatitis, is an inflammatory condition of the liver, usually occur as a result of a viral infection. There are five main hepatitis viruses, known as to as types A, B, C, D and E, but it can also be caused due to toxins (particularly alcohol, certain drugs, some industrial organic solvents and plants), other infections and autoimmune diseases.

Hepatitis A and E are generally caused by ingestion of contaminated edible or water. Hepatitis B, C and D often caused by parenteral contact with infected body fluids.

Acute infection may occur with limited or no symptoms, or may include symptoms like the skin and eyes become yellow (jaundice), dark urine, nausea, vomiting, malaise or excessive fatigue, anorexia and stomach ache.

Cause of hepatitis

It can be caused by:

Immune cells in the body attacking the liver and resulting autoimmune hepatitis
Infections from viruses (like hepatitis A, B, or C), bacteria, or parasites
Liver damage from alcohol, poisonous mushrooms, or other poisons
Medications, such as an overdose of acetaminophen, which can be deadly
Liver disease can also be caused by inherited disorders such as cystic fibrosis or hemochromatosis, a condition that involves taking too much iron (the excess iron deposits in the liver).
Wilson’s disease.

KUTKI (Picrorhiza kurrooa)

OVERVIEW:- The eyelids most of the time develop small lumps due to blockage in the oil glands and this condition is called to as Chalazion. Itcan usually develop on any region of the eyelid and it is not a serious illness.

1. In many cases, there is even no need for any treatment and the problem will cure within few days.
2. It is observed that people suffering from stye in the past it can easily develop this condition again and even advanced stages of stye lead to Chalazion.

SYMPTOMS:-
1. Painless swelling on the eyelid
2. Eyelid tenderness typically none-to-mild
3. Increased tearing
4.Heaviness of the eyelid
5.Redness of conjunctiva

CAUSES:– Some causes of chalazion are:-

1.Rosacea
2. Chronic blepharitis, eyelid inflammation (redness, swelling and irritation).
3. Seborrheic dermatitis
4.Tuberculosis (TB)

5.Viral infections. Habitual rubbing of the eyes
6. Addiction of fingering of the lids and nose
7.Chronic blepharitis
8.Metabolic factors

DIAGNOSIS:- Following ways to diagnose this condition like:-

1. Health history:- Give your complete health history. Medical history can help to doctor to find the causative issues that could be contributing to the formation of a chalazion.
2.External eye exam: -Doctor will examine eye, eyelid, eyelashes and skin texture.

3.Thorough eyelid exam:- Eye specialists flash a bright light and use magnification to look at the base of eyelashes. They also observe the oil glands’ openings.

PREVENTION:- Some essential things for good hygiene include:-

Hand-washing:- Wash your hands before touch the eyes, make sure to wash your hands.
Contact lens care: -Wash your hands before removing contact lenses. Make sure to properly clean contacts with a lens cleaning solution.
Face-washing:- Wash face daily to remove dirt and makeup before going to bed. Doctor may recommend cleaning your eyelids with a special scrub or baby shampoo, especially if you are a susceptible to blepharitis.
Makeup hygiene:- Throw away all of your old or expired makeup products .Be sure to change eye shadow and mascara every two to three months. Also never share or use another’s makeup products.

RISK- FACTORS:- Chalazion happen more often in adults than children. They might be more likely if you have:

1. Eyelid inflammation (blepharitis)
2. A skin condition like seborrheic dermatitis or acne rosacea
3. Another health condition such as diabetes
4. Had a chalazion before

PREVENTION:- There’s no sure way to prevent chalazion. Prevent following things and keeping your eyelids clean:

1. Wash your hands often, especially before touching the eyes and handling contact lenses.
2. Wash your eyelids before you to go to bed to remove makeup and other things .

3.change your eye makeup every 2 or 3 months. Don’t share makeup with anyone else.

1. Chalazion is non-infective lipogranulomatous inflammation of Meibomian gland. It’s also called Meibomian cyst.
