As in Chhardi dosha accumulation is in the stomach, so langhan chikitsa is the the first line of treatment in chhardi . When doshas are utklishtha stage,. Vamana is recommended and kapha pitta nashak chikitsa should be done .
- Langhana therapy – This is done in all type except Vatika chardi (Because the Doshas are vitiated by the agitation of Doshas in the stomach)
- Samshodhana Chikitsa – Kapha and Pitta chardi (When the Doshas are aggravated in excess)
- Medications used- Powder of Abhaya – Terminalia chebula along with honey , can be taken for the purpose of purgation. Such other purgative drugs which act as cardiotonics may also be given appropriately along with alcohol or milk. These medications cause downward movement of the vitiated Doshas having the tendency to move upwards. In such patients Vamana therapy may also be given with the madanPhala etc. But If the patient is weak, then Samshodhana Chikitsa is avoided and patient is treated with Shamana chikitsa and medicines and dietary modifications should be done . Amenorrhea means absence of menstruation. This is a different situation from menopause or pregnancy. But due to this women may have to face many problems. That is why it is important that you understand about amenorrhea. At the same time, it is also important that you know that it is not related to infertility or menopause in any way.
What is amenorrhea
Less bleeding in periods, do you have problems with ‘light periods’? Know its symptoms, causes
Irregular Periods: The reason for irregular periods is not only pregnancy, know what are the reasons
This problem is not related to irregular periods. However, it is not a disease, as it may be a symptom or sign of a medical condition that is treatable. Many women can miss their 3 or more periods without even becoming pregnant or menopausal, which is not common. Absence of menstruation can indicate a variety of problems, including: thyroid problems, pituitary tumors, PCOS, etc. In addition, amenorrhea can lead to complications such as sterility or osteoporosis. Therefore, it is necessary to treat it.
How is amenorrhea different from menopause?
Amenorrhea is related to the absence of menstruation in women. Women who have had at least three periods, that is, a lack of periods, are diagnosed with amenorrhea, which includes women who are going through puberty, those who are not pregnant, and women who have not gone through menopause. Because during pregnancy, menstruation stops and it is common for periods to stop even during breastfeeding. And as soon as menopause starts, periods stop completely.
The most common cause of amenorrhea or lack of periods can be pregnancy. Other causes of amenorrhea include problems with the reproductive organs or the glands that help control hormone levels. Amenorrhea can be resolved by treating the underlying condition. It is neither a disease nor is it related to the infertility of the person. This can be a sign or symptom of a health problem that needs attention.
Types of amenorrhea
Primary amenorrhea is a problem when periods do not start during puberty. If a young woman does not start having her periods by the age of 16, this condition is called primary amenorrhea. Therefore, the concerned woman should seek the help of a doctor. Primary amenorrhea is quite rare. Genetic problems or structural disorders related to the genitals cause primary amenorrhea. Genetic testing and hormone testing are used to diagnose its causes.
Secondary amenorrhea occurs when periods begin in the early stages, but periods stop for 3 or more months. It is common during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, in addition to other health problems, such as an underactive thyroid, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Pregnancy tests, imaging tests, and other tests are helpful in diagnosing the cause of amenorrhea.
Symptoms of amenorrhea
The main sign and symptom of absence of menstruation or amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation. Depending on the cause of amenorrhea, symptoms or signs associated with the absence of periods may be experienced, such as:
- Milky nipple discharge
- change in breast size
- hair fall
- headache
- weight gain or weight loss
- vision changes or other problems
- excess facial hair growth
- deepening of voice
- Pelvic pain
- Acne
- Vaginal dryness, etc.
- When is it necessary to see a doctor
If a woman misses three periods in a row or does not experience periods, she should immediately consult a doctor. Apart from this, young girls whose age is 16 years or more and not a single menstrual period has started, then consult a doctor as soon as possible.
What is the diagnosis of amenorrhea?
Before the test of amenorrhea, the doctor will ask you many questions like-
- At what age did you have your period
- Chances of pregnancy
- Have you lost or gained weight or what type of exercise do you do?
- How long does your period last and how much bleeding is more or less
- Amenorrhea is not a disease, but a symptom of a disease. That’s why the doctor tries to find out the reasons for not having periods. For this, the doctor does many types of tests:
Lab Tests
- Pregnancy test, Thyroid function test, Ovary function test, Prolactin test, Male hormone test etc. The first thing the doctor does is the pregnancy test when the periods are missed. If it is negative then other tests are done.
- Hormone Challenge Test- For this test, you are given pills of hormones for 7 to 10 days so that the period comes. This test shows whether there is a lack of estrogen hormone due to lack of periods.
- Imaging Tests – After blood tests and hormone tests, may recommend imaging tests based on the symptoms of amenorrhea, which include ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, scoop test, etc.
What is the treatment for amenorrhea?
Primary amenorrhea
The treatment of amenorrhea depends on its cause. Watchful waiting is done based on the age of the person with primary amenorrhea and the results of ovarian function tests. If other women in the family have also started late periods, then you will also get late periods. Surgery may be needed if there is a genetic or physical problem that involves problems with the reproductive organs. In such a situation it is difficult to say how normal periods will be.
Secondary amenorrhea
Its treatment depends on its underlying cause-
- If the problem is due to emotional or mental stress, counseling will help.
- Losing a lot of weight can be due to many reasons. In such a situation, the woman needs to take the help of a professional weight gain program or doctor.
- If a woman exercises a lot, a change in exercise plan or a change in diet may help.
- Menopause begins around the age of 50, although it can happen as early as 40. Family history can also be the reason for early or late menopause. Therefore its treatment depends on the cause of menopause.
- If there is a problem of polycystic over syndrome, then the doctor will prescribe proper treatment and if due to this weight has increased, then it will also advise to reduce it.
- Hormone replacement therapy can restart periods in premature ovarian failure.
- If the menstrual cycle has stopped due to an underactive thyroid, the doctor will prescribe appropriate treatment with thyroxine (thyroid hormone).
- Hello health is not giving any kind of medical advice, for more details you can contact doctor.

Acne vulgaris

Acne, also known as acne vulgaris, is a long-term skin condition that occurs when dead skin cells and oil from the skin clog hair follicles. Acne is a common skin related problem, which can trouble a person of any age. Those who have oily skin, this problem bothers them more, so they take it more seriously. Many people think that this problem is caused by overeating, but did you know that this skin disorder is caused due to inflammation of the oil-producing glands and hair follicles within our skin. Hair follicles are present under our skin. These follicles are made up of many tissue-like structures present within our skin, which help in hair growth. The oil-producing glands, when they produce oil, moisturize your skin as well as your hair.
The problem of acne arises when the production of oil released from the skin increases but there is a decrease in the spread of skin cells. Due to this condition, the skin cells get blocked and the oil present in them stays there. Due to the accumulation of oil in the skin cells, the bacteria present in the hair follicles also clogs the pores, resulting in inflammation and acne. Acne can come out of both boys and girls in the days of youth and it is not at all that people do not get acne at the age of 40 to 50. They can make you their victim at any age. Let us know the easy way to get rid of them.
Types of acne
Explain that there are six types of acne, in which problems like blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and ulcers are prominent.
1-Blackheads: Blackheads on your skin are stubborn black spots that occur when the skin pores open due to dead skin cells and excess oil. The oil present in these pores turns black due to exposure to air.
2-Whiteheads: Whiteheads occur when the pores are clogged by dead skin cells and oil.
3- Small clots (Papules): These small red clots occur when you touch your face more and it hurts to touch them.
4- Pimples: These small red clots appear like a white tip on your skin. Pimples, as the name suggests, are filled with pus.
5-Nodules: These types of acne are hidden deep in your skin, which are quite solid.
6-Cyst: A cyst, a large lump filled with pus, is the most severe form of acne and can cause permanent scarring on your skin.
Symptoms of acne
Pimples can appear as small lumps of pus or pus formed on your skin. These clots keep on increasing their size. Acne is more in the part of the face where the oil glands are more active, such as the face, neck, shoulders, upper part of the chest and back.
Acne causes and risk factors due to acne
Acne usually results from an increase in androgen hormone levels. This hormone increases the size of the oil glands, which also increases the production of oil. When the bacteria present on our skin work to absorb this oil, then our skin starts getting irritated and due to this our pores get blocked and acne occurs.
1- The rise and fall of hormone levels in women during pregnancy or menstruation.
2- Pressure on the skin due to wearing things like helmet or hat while playing.
3-Acne can also occur due to the use of products used for hair such as hair pomades, heavy lotions / creams, waxes, etc.
4-Environment, in which the amount of humidity is high.
5-Air pollution.
6-Working in an environment with smooth surfaces such as a restaurant.
7- Excessive use of contraceptive pills.
There is no connection between lack of cleanliness, poor diet and acne. Keep in mind that frequent washing of the face also causes acne.
Risk factors for acne
Acne is more common in teens and young people. Although it can occur in people of any age, acne is more common in men during adolescence and predominant in women during adulthood.
Acne prevention
Preventing acne caused by normal hormonal changes in the body is difficult, but it is not impossible at all. You can reduce your chances of developing acne by:
1- Wash your face daily with mild face cleanser and warm water.
2- Use moisturizer regularly.
3- Avoid touching the face.
4- People who do makeup should use products labeled “non-comedogenic” so that those products don’t block your pores. It is very important to remove makeup before sleeping.

Things to do in winters for healthy life
Winter season is considered to be the best for health as the heat stored in food keeps our body warm due to fall in temperature. This means that food is easily digested in cold weather. Apart from food, if some things are taken care of, then we can not only stay healthy in the cold season, but our immune system is also strong in this season.
Eat a balanced diet
Carbohydrates give energy to the body, but they are not enough for health. The body needs fat, protein, fiber and fluids equally. Generally in winters, the desire to eat fried, canned and junk food increases, due to which the intake of carbohydrates increases. Second, reduced physical activity does not result in extra calorie consumption. Due to this, fat starts accumulating rapidly in the body. Emphasize on seasonal fruits and vegetables during this season. Take green vegetables, salad and soup with food. Due to this the body will get enough nutrients and fiber. Do not let the body lack water.
Winter fitness tips
Don’t forget to sunbathe
Do you feel tired despite getting enough rest? Or is there pain in the bones and muscles? If your answer is yes, then it is likely that you need vitamin D supplements. According to experts, 70 out of 100 people are suffering from vitamin D deficiency. The winter season is a good opportunity to make up for this shortfall. Sunlight on the skin around noon is considered the best in terms of vitamin D. While sleeping in the afternoon removes vitamin D, the sleep pattern is also disturbed at night. One should definitely sit in the sun for some time in the afternoon.
Exercise
Do not give up the habit of exercising everyday in winters. Exercising regularly releases hormones that feel happy in the body. Reduces depression. Even so, due to decreased physical activity in winter, the possibility of increasing body weight increases. Exercising also maintains the flexibility of the body.
Do not dry clothes indoors
According to experts, drying wet clothes indoors spreads aldehydes and benzene particles in the air, which damage the skin. The problem of people suffering from asthma also increases with this. Drying wet clothes inside can cause headache, sore throat, and eye irritation even if asthma is not a problem. If drying wet clothes indoors, keep the windows open.
Don’t apply too much cream
The cold winter air makes the skin dry. The skin needs more moisture, but this does not mean that you apply unnecessary creams and lotions. Applying more cream increases the risk of dust and soil staying on the skin for a long time. Dead skin remains on the face, which increases the risk of acne and skin allergies.
If you have asthma, go out less
Nowadays people are troubled by smog. Those who have asthma, they are struggling with smog every day, now the increasing winter will also torment them. Asthma is an allergic problem. The suffering of asthma patients increases in winter. Due to increasing fog in winter, the elements of allergy do not fly in the air due to fog, but remain nearby. Asthma sufferers suffer from these elements. Sometimes there is also difficulty in breathing. In such a situation, do not stay out of the house in the cold for a long time. Keep your throat, nose, ears and head covered while going out. Take medicines regularly.
Tormenting joint pain
Most of the people start suffering from bone pain in winters. People who already suffer from joint pain, the problem is more common. This is also due to increased stiffness in the body during winters. If you have arthritis, this season can be troublesome, especially if you don’t take special care of yourself. In winter, the problem of swelling in the joints increases. There is a narrowing of the veins. In such a situation, exercise to avoid joint pain or any other problem related to bones. Keep yourself as warm as possible.
Dry skin
Those who have dry skin, the problem of dryness of the skin starts increasing more. These days this happens due to less moisture content in the atmosphere. Apply a good quality moisturizer. Coconut oil is also a better option. Apply oil or lotion all over the body after bathing.
Be careful with high blood pressure
People suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease should be cautious if they want to avoid the chilly winds. According to doctors, those who have high blood pressure, they need to be more aware. Actually, due to lack of sweat in the cold, the level of salt in the body increases. Because of this, the blood pressure also starts increasing. These days blood pressure remains normal, for this, take medicines regularly. Exercise daily. Take nutritious diet. Use salt in food wisely.
Effect of changing weather on mind
Climate change also affects mental health. Some people lose their mental balance and become depressed. Since the days are shorter in winter, this creates an imbalance in hormones. There is a deficiency of Vitamin D in the body. It affects the heart as well as the mind. To avoid depression in winter, sit for some time in the sunlight. Get enough sleep.
Don’t let the temperature drop
In winter, when the body temperature drops below 35 degrees, it is called ‘hypothermia’. In this the hands and feet become cold, there is difficulty in breathing. Heart beat increases, BP decreases. If the body temperature drops, then death can also occur. In such a situation, do not go in cold winds in the morning. Eat hot foods.
